“Mamma did you see the pic?”

When you receive this call, when you are out of station (and the lady is not with you)!

Plus from the lady who made a lava lamp with 1 litre of cooking oil when she was small …. It gives you shivers!!

I know that she is has a bit more “fear of Mamma” before she starts something like this…but still…

I looked at the pictures and was surprised my baby has made these delicious cookies, of course chocolate chip and clicked pictures for me with Didi’s mobile as she cannot find the camera.

Of course she made them again so that I can take pictures but I prefer to use her pictures. Apparently she took the ingredients from the net but used the method I used to make these cookies.

So ladies “#FireUpYourOven" to make these delicious and yummy cookies!
The eggs can be substituted with ½ cup curds and ½ tsp baking powder.

Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients:
  • 2 ¼ cups wheat flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • ¾ cup brown sugar
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • 1-2 cup chocolate chips

Method:
  • Cream together softened butter, brown sugar and white sugar till it becomes pale.
  • Beat in the eggs.
  • In a separate bowl blend the dry ingredients.
  • Blend in the butter mixture until well mixed and your dough form a ball.
  • Flatten the dough and wrap in cling film and refrigerate for at least ½ an hour.
  • Once ready to bake, preheat the oven to 180C/ 350°F.
  • Make small balls and bake on a lightly greased mould keeping space in between the cookies as they will spread.
  •  Bake for about 7 minutes or golden brown around the edges.
  • Cool completely on a wire rack.
